The most awaited ’Swakula Sali Engineers Meet’ is being planned to schedule on “11th January 2009” at Bangalore.
Sangha wishes to conduct this event in most successful way & with’‘active participation’ of each and every Engineer/Engineering student of our community.

Dear sir,
I am Arvind Kumar Kamble from Narayanpet (Dist: Mahabubnagar, A.P.).
I am very happy to hear that such a good meet is going to be held, which will be very help ful to the swakulasali community.
But, I feel that much publicity is not given to the meet. The information about the meet could have been given through various district level/statelevel swakulasali sanghas as well. Also, time given for sending the formats is less. Not many of our samaj members do know about this meet, I feel.

Hi Prashanth,
I appreciate your efforts in getting along Engineers under One umbrella, apparently you are also ignoring ppl from other career disciplines who have achieved and can help our fellow members. For instance my cousin Dr. K.S. Ashok Kumar, who has recently earned his Phd from Glasgow University in Microbiology and currently in Blore, he will surely be de-motivated to know that his field was ignored. Hence kindly pls rebrand this Engineers Meet into something meaning full as “Sali Professionals” or else we will miss a lot of valuable people.
Just for your note, I’m an Engineer myself and yet I don’t forget to respect ppl from other backgrounds. Unfortunately I’m not in India, at this time to make to this event. Good Luck to you all.

we attended the meet and Its a great effort and thanks to Chandrakanth Bandareji for being the guiding light.
each one in our community should be proud of what he has done.
I felt that the effort to bring in many engineers from our community together at one place did not help the engineers because of choice of speakers who spoke, relevance of what speaker told on the Dias, missing interaction between the speakers and engineers, no event management skills on few people who were reqesting speaker to come on dias.
I hope if there is a engineers meet next time speakers are allowed to speak for enough time rather than telling them its time up.
Do not ask factory manager to inform openings for BE students about Lathe factory openings, i dont think any engineer would work in lathe after spending hards years passing BE…(missing relevance)
it was demotivating for Engineers while showing picture of a man in Tube in middle of a sea and say this is a engineer in a reccession or satyam fraud. Please dont get demotivated by the recession because there is a new hope. more work is going to come to india because of downsizing of staff in US and off shoring work to India. there is work for everyone…
If we think positively about the satyam fraud, most of the satyam customers will go to Infosys or Wipro or IBM etc… which means job openings for the indians. Recession in US or rest of the world means more jobs in india.

A detailed report about the event and the how it has helped the engineers will be posted shortly along with the event photos & videos.
The event was open to all and everybody had the opportunity to give ideas and sugestion on how the event should be conducted.
For next events of any kind , please feel free to give ideas and take up initiatives before the event so that same can be can incorporated.
We ourselves should volunteer
Lets not concentrate more on what is not proper.
As this is first time such an event is conducted, lest try to be more upto point next time.

Highlights:

1. Good interaction among the Engineers in the last session
Good Feedbacks and suggestions given by Engineers( one such point being setting up of the Library and donation of books by Engineers which would be helpful/useful for the next batches/younger generations)
2. Good Experiences shared by Mr. Suresh Sapare & Mr. Vittal Rao and
encouraging youngsters to believe in themselves and make good usage of the Sangha. Also by many more ….
3. Good Speeches by few dignitaries (in first and second sessions) prominently by Mr. Vivek Kulkarni( Chief Guest), Mrs. Rajani, and many more…
4. It was a good platform to know many people and few discussed about the job opportunities in their companies.

Thanks Prashanth for organizing such event and bringing most of the engineers meet together. It was a good beginning but there is always a room to improvise.
After attending the meet, I felt that there needs to be more motivational events and networking among engineers.
Most of the engineers need to volunteer themselves for such events discuss about activities that can be conducted and come up with good idea’s and plan how to go about doing or conducting it.
We need to encourage students and engineers to volunteer and see more participation from youngsters and discuss about current challenges that has to be faced
I feel suggestion regarding donating engineering books is really a valid point, but rather than donating it should be more of recycling of text books as students after studying will not keep those books so better they can return back to sangha and same can be given to other students in the next year/semesters. This way we can maintain library as well as recycle with minimal investment as engineering text books are also expensive.
To start with engineers those who have already studied and have there text books can donate to Sangha so that it can be recycled among students who are in need of it.

Response for the meet was good. Suggestion give by the people has to be executed so I feel in a very short time we will have a seminar organised for a small number of 20 to 30 members on personality development, attending interview, this will be totally interactive. I request every one to come out with a suggestion.. as to how this event should be organised, who can help us with these type of sessions. and many more..,

Ya I too feel it should be arranged soon and anchored by engineers so that it can be more interactive and include audience participation to greater extent than just providing speakers.
There are many IT engineers who are working in good companies from our community. These people should volunteer in conducting and presenting such sessions and make more interactive.
They should provide more information about current industry standards and organization expectations from an engineer and guide budding engineers in all possible field/area of engineering like Hardware/Software.
