Paramapujya Sri Ananthaswami maharaj’s 107th anniversary celebrations were held successfully from 28/12/2008 to 03/01/2009 at Sri Anantha Ashram , Gandhinagar , Bangalore. The programmes were mainly of spiritual theme and based on hindu selfhelp. Everyday routines included chanting of Bhagavat Gita ( Indian epic) , Gnaneshwari and traditional pandhari bhajans (singing).
The highlights of the evenings were again bhajans from various organizations, devotional singing, and ashirvachan (Indian self help) from various spiritual swamijis. Everyday Prasad (food) was served to all those present and the poor.
The final day was attended by nearly 800 devotees. It was a treat to the eyes to watch the volunteers engaging themselves in this great spiritual gathering and serving the proceedings. The devotees came from Pandarpur, Alandi and various parts of Karnataka state.
